Blacksmith Dave Little of Winnipesaukee Forge has spent a lifetime blending historic blacksmithing traditions with the beauty of the natural world. Inspired by antique metalwork, summers on his family’s New Hampshire lake property, and early experiences forging outdoors, David developed a signature style rooted in organic forms like leaves, vines, and branches. 

A longtime juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, his work combines historic craftsmanship with contemporary design through custom furnishings, architectural pieces, and collaborations with fellow artists. Inspired by David’s dedication to craftsmanship, creativity, and New Hampshire heritage, Twin Barns Brewing created Iron Ale — a bold black ale brewed with pine- and resin-forward American hops, delivering a crisp, hop-forward take on a classic old-school ale that reflects the strength, artistry, and character of David’s forged work.
